Pastor Henry Aggrey
(Pastor of River of Life Church, Ladywood, Birmingham)
Rev Henry and Pastor Pamela Aggrey are faithful ministers of God and are the founders of River of Life Ministry. This ministry came out of their vision to follow their Saviour and to tell others of His everlasting love.
They have a strong passion to impart the knowledge of God to people, as this has the power to set people free to worship God. The love of God has continued to stir in them, enabling them to disciple and groom people into His ministry.
The name River of Life was conceived on 29th August 1998. The Lord laid this name firmly on the founders during a time of intercession. The theme scripture “He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38) illustrates the basic goal of the River of Life Ministry. The goal is for every believer to have a continual experience of the power of the Holy Spirit. Those who are satisfied by Jesus will themselves become channels of spiritual refreshment for others. The River of Life Ministry’s vision is to “Raise up righteous men and women for the work of the Ministry”, using the Word of God and following the doctrines set out for the New Testament church in the Bible. Assisting Christians in their spiritual development and equipping them in spiritual warfare, Ephesians 4:12-13.
We intend to do this through evangelism, cell groups, teaching, discipleship and commissioning those who feel called, Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:10, Luke 24.
On the 29th November 2003, River of Life Ministry signed the affiliation document to become affiliated to the Free Methodist Church in the presence of Rev J Allan Ellershaw (then Superintendent of the FMC in the UK).
On 13th May 2005 Reverend Henry Aggrey was ordained as an Elder in the Free Methodist Church in the United Kingdom.
On 23rd September 2008 Mrs Pamela Aggrey was granted the status of Accredited Minister in the Free Methodist Church in the United Kingdom.
